The Sharbo SB-S is Zebra’s steel multi-pen from from the late 1970s into the 1980s. It’s a 1+1 (pen and a pencil) with a twist selection mechanism — turn left for a pen and right for a pencil.
The Sharbo line from this era is known for it’s intricate grid pattern etched into the steel body (sometimes called a lattice pattern). Then pen also has lacquer work on the clip and around the cap, which is a nice touch and sometimes no manufacturers do today.
The SB-S uses a 0.5mm mechanical pencil and a D1 sized ballpoint refill.
The SB-S was sold in the grid pattern pictured here, but also in a smooth, matte steel finish.
