The Rotring Rapid Pro is a mechanical, drafting pencil that is a competitor with the old, smaller Rotring 600.
This pencil isn’t a double-knock style, but it does have a retractable tip, so the pipe can be protected while it’s not being used. The tip uses a cushion design so there is an anti-lead breaking allowance that will cause the lead to give a bit before snapping.
The pencil is closely related to the Rotring 600, but it’s a good deal larger and has some plastic parts where the Rotring 600 and 800 do not.
The Rapid Pro is sold in 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm sizes, but is also sold in the Rotring Rapid Pro 2.0 mm Lead Holder variant.
