The Pilot G2 Limited is a metal-bodied, executive pen based on the popular Pilot G2.
While this is a nice pen, it is not one of Unsharpen’s best gel pens. This is the case because the G2 Limited is rather heavy, not well-balanced, and it is surpassed in quality and comfort by some of its competitors, like the Zebra Sarasa Grand.
The Pilot G2 Limited is often confused with the G2 Pro, which is not an executive pen and does not have a metal body. The Pro is simply a variation on the Pilot G2 pen.
The G2 Limited is sold in red, gold, purple, dark grey, and, as of 2021, matte black. It uses a standard Pilot G2 gel refill, the same as the G2. The G2 gel refill is also sold as the Pilot LG2RF line of refills. The 0.7 mm LG2RF in black is included most of the G2 Limited pens.
The rubber grip on the Limited is essentially the same as with the standard pen, something which gives a nice uniformity across the line. The Limit’s grip is able to be swapped from one pen to another so it can be replaced as the grip wears out, which is nice because the all-metal G2 Limited is built to last.
