Noodler’s Air Corp Blue Black

Noodler’s Air Corp Blue Black is a high-quality, affordable fountain pen ink.

Noodler’s Air Corp is a popular blue black fountain pen ink that is sold in a 3 oz (90 ml) glass bottle.

The ink is popular for its nice blue tone, high level of water resistance, and affordable price — Noodler’s inks are sold in 90 ml bottles for less than most other company’s 50 ml ones. The ink has a very high level of saturation so it does show through on the other side of paper more so than most inks we tests. Despite the saturation the ink isn’t overly difficult to clean out of a pen, but it is far from the easiest ink we’ve tested in this regard.

Air Corp is slow to dry, so it’s not recommended for left-handed writers, but once it is fully dry it does have excellent water-resistance. In our testing is out-performance almost all other blue black inks in terms of how it held up to water.

Top to bottom: Parker Quink, Noodler’s Air Corp, Roster Oster Blue Black

Like most other Noodler’s inks, Air Corp is a wet writing ink, so it feels like more ink will flow out of your pen than a thicker ink. This can be good to counteract a pen that writes dry, but it’s not ideal for all circumstances.

Overall, Air Corp is a good blue black ink, but not one of our favorites overall. It is a nice writer and is fairly prices, but unless you need the water resistance there are other inks we prefer, like Pilot’s Shin-Kai and Diamine Blue Black.
