Ateleia Pen

The Ateleia Pen was originally a Kickstarter project but has emerged into a popular machined pen. It’s sold in brass, copper, aluminum and stainless steel models.

The different materials, all of which are machined in Phoenix, Arizona can greatly change the weight of the pen:

  • Copper: 45 grams
  • Brass: 44 grams
  • Stainless Steel: 42 grams
  • Aluminum: 16 grams

Prices range based on the material with aluminum being the cheapest (around $85) and copper being the most expensive ($120).

The Ateleia pen can also vary based on the refill style you opt for when buy it. One option will make the pen accept Pentel EnerGel Uni-ball Signo 207 / DX, and MonteVerde rollerball refills. The other insert option will have the pen be compatible with the Pilot Hi-Tec-C, Pilot G2, Schmidt 5888 / 888 / 6040 and Fisher Space Pen PR refills. Other refills will work, but these are the main ones the company recommends.

The Ateleia pen is known for it’s minimalist design and clean exterior. The pen requires a tool to swap the refill, but a wrench is included with the pen in a handsome gift box.
