The Kaweco Classic Sport is a line of pens and pencils with a plastic body, with a classic hexagonal shape, in a very small size. These are “pocket pens” that are meant to be used when posted — when the cap is put on the back of the pen to extend its length.
The Kaweco Classic Sport is a very simple pen. It has a steel nib — sold in EF, F, M, B and BB (BB, or double broad, is sold aftermarket only) — a plastic body, a plastic screw-on cap, and no clip. The pen’s only flourish is a metal finial on the end of the cap, which is a very nice touch and shows a level of care that not all company’s still do.
The metal clip is optional and can be added after purchase for about $5.
The Classic Sport is a small pen with a very small nib. It writes well, with a smooth and even flow, but the nib is visually not impressive. The pen does not offer much line variation because the stainless steel nib is small and quite stiff.
