The MonAmi 153 is a classic-looking, plastic ballpoint pen first released in 1953. It’s lightweight, completely feel of frills, and about as affordable as a name-brand pen can get. The pen is clip-less and has a small plastic release where the clip would normally be.
The MonAmi 153 is the base model in the series, but given its iconic status it has been released in a number of different variants. These include the MonAmi 153 Black and the 153 White, which are all metal versions of the pen which uses Parker-style G2 refills. There is also the 153 ID, a glossy metal version and the 153 Gold Limited Edition. There are pencils as well, like the Monami 153 Neo 2.0 mm lead holder.
The plastic 153 is also sold in a number of variants special edition prints, like Puppies, Flowers, Kiss, and Blossoms.
The pen is primarily sold in 0.7 mm and 1.0 mm sizes in blue, black, and red ink colors. There is a capped version known as the MonAmi 153 Stick.
