Pentel B100 Pen

The Pentel B100, sometimes called the Pentel Ball B100, is a classic pen that has been produced since 1972.

The B100 is a classic, water-based pen that isn’t clearly a rollerball or felt-tip pen. The pen is disposable and will not take a refill.

The pen is commonly said to have a 0.6 mm tip, but the 45th Anniversary special edition uses a 0.8 mm tip. The special edition for 2017 was sold in black, red, blue, green, orange, brown, and purple inks with yellow, purple and green bodies. The pen is normally sold in a green body.

The Pentel Ball pen is one of the three types of pens that will work with the Itoya 110 Pen Jacket.

Pentel B100 Pen Review

While the B100 is not a great pen, the classic design and history of the pen make it an excellent addition to any pen collection. The water-based ink is free-flowing and fun to use on almost any surface, but it’s based on cheaper, more absorbent paper.

The pen is sadly, not refillable, but the bright colors of the ink and interesting tip — which isn’t quite a rollerball but is pretty close — make the pen something people have been reaching for for nearly 50 years.
