The Pentel Graph Gear is best known as a mechanical pencil but — for a time — it was sold as a ballpoint pen as well. First released in 2002, the Graph Gear ballpoint is consider a very rare and desirable pen. The mechanical pencil is still in production today.
The Graph Gear 1000 was released as the 1000 yen version of the Graph Gear 500 (released in 2001). The ballpoint as released in both 0.5mm and 0.7mm versions with the same aesthetics and features as the mechanical pencil version.
