The Tombow Dual Brush Pen is a very popular option for brush calligraphy. It has a useful dual-tip design and is sold in a huge range of colors.
The “bullet tip” brushes are made of nylon for durability as well as a smooth stroke. By varying the amount of pressure applied they can create fine through broad strokes, simulating a paint brush but in a design that is much more portable and less messy, with no need to clean after use.
The ink used in the Tombow Dual Brush pens is water-based and acid-free. It is highly blendable, which is why Tombow sells the Dual Brush in blending kits.

One of the most interesting features of the Dual Brush is that in addition to its many colors, it’s sold in a “Colorless” variety that is used for blending without changing the color.
