Twsbi’s Vac700R is a mid-priced vacuum-filling fountain pen. It’s the larger sibling of the Vac Mini.
Priced around $70 the Vac700R is one of the most popular vacuum-filling fountain pens sold. It’s much more affordable than Pilot’s Custom 823 and it was a top choice for this fill type until the Penbbs 456 and other highly affordable Chinese fountain pens were sold in vacuum-fillers.
The pen has a shut-off valve so its safe to travel with, including on an airplane, and it’s generally regarded as a very well made fountain pen, despite the reasonable price tag.
The Vac700R has a stainless steel nib, made by JoWo, that is sold in EF, F, M, B, and 1.1 mm stub sizes. The nib is a #6 size, which means it’s larger than that of the Eco or Vac Mini.
