The Mecha 357 is a multi-pencil with 0.3 mm, 0.5 mm, and 0.7 mm lead in one writing tool.
The design of this pencil appears to have been inspired by the Rotring Trio multi-pen, which has a similar aesthetic and plastic release in the clip. The pencil even has a red ring on it, which is Rotring’s brand mark.
The pencil work by turning the top to pick the lead size and then knocking it to reveal the lead and then extend it.
The pencil is made in Japan and while it’s know for its weight and heavy knurled grip, most users are hesitant to buy because the the relatively unknown brand name and the price, which can approach $80.
