The PR is the standard Fisher Space Pen refill. It’s the famous refill that has been sold with the Space Pen. It writes at any angle, underwater, and at a crazy temperature range: -30 degrees F to 250 degrees F.
The PR refill ships with almost all Fisher Space pens, including the AG7 and CH4 Shuttle pens. It has a metal body and a proprietary shape, but it’s consider a Parker-style G2 standard size because the refill includes a small plastic converter which can put placed on the back of the refill before inserting into a pen, like the Parker Jotter.
The PR is the series of refill, but the specific refills have names to themselves. Some examples…
- PR4: Black ink, Medium point
- PR1: Blue ink, Medium point
- PR1B: Blue ink, Bold point
- PR1F: Blue ink, Fine point
As you can see, PR is the series, the color is indicated by the number, and then the base level of the pen is Medium, but there are B and F modifiers in the case of a Bold or Fine tip.
