Pilot CON-40 Fountain Pen Converter

Pilot Con-40 Converter

The Pilot CON-40 is a proprietary fountain pen converter that fits all of Pilot’s cartridge/converter pens. This includes a wide range of pens but some are the Prera, Metropolitan, Vanishing Point, Cavalier, and Custom 74.

The CON-40 is a plastic, screw-type converter with an ink capacity of 0.4 ml, making it quite small.

The converter holds 4 steel beads, known as agitator beads, which keep the ink flow regular and prevent bubbles from hold ink at the top of the converter.

In late 2017 the CON-40 officially became the replacement for Pilot’s CON-20 and CON-50 converters, both of which were end-of-lifed at that point.
