The Energize is the mechanical pencil equivalent of the popular Pentel Energel Deluxe RTX gel pen. It’s a comfortable, affordable pencil that’s a nice fit against the excellent Energel RTX series.
The Energize closely matches the styling of the Energel Deluxe RTX and the Energel Alloy, but unlike the latter is it not metal.
The Energize uses Pentel’s Super Hi-Polymer HB lead, which is quite hard and does a very good job of staying sharp. It’s very good for test taking, but less so for art purposes. Both the lead and eraser are refillable.
