Montblanc Lucky Orange is a limited edition fountain pen ink that was released in 2017.
Montblanc Lucky Orange is a deep orange with brownish and reddish tones. It’s an autumnal orange that is easy to red on white and cream-colored paper. It’s similar in color to Montblanc’s Petit Prince and Manganese Orange inks.
Lucky Orange was sold in a smaller, square-shaped bottle, not Montblanc’s standard rectangular bottle with a built-in ink well.
The strong orange color had serious issues with bleed-through (worse than simple ghosting) on many papers and meant writing on the back of pages when using it was often not possible. The ink had no sheen and limited shading.
While some people did get excited about Lucky Orange in 2017, it’s not a limited edition ink that is worth tracking down. New-in-box bottles can still be found for about $40.
