Carbon Black is water-resistant thanks to its use of pigments as opposed to dye to create the color. In addition to being water-resistant the ink is also heat-resistant and fade-resistant.
Carbon Black is a pure black ink with a slightly glossy finish when dried and a small amount of sheen (it’s hard to separate the gloss from the sheen in fact). The ink is highly water-resistant so it’s great for use in art as well as around markers and water color painting.
