iBayam Fineliner Pen

iBayam Fineliner pens are thin, plastic-tipped markers. These are a top-seller on Amazon in multiple categories and are known for their impressively low price and great review score.

iBayam fineliners are plastic markers (though they are sold as “pens”) with a plastic cap and no clip. The caps are color-coordinated with the pens’ colors for easy location among the large packs they are normally sold in. iBayam Fineliners are usually sold in packs of 24, but small packs — down to 5 markers — are available as well.

iBayam Fineliners have a 0.38 mm tip, which is excellent for use in a journal, Moleskine, and other places where small, precise writing is key.

These fineliners are a cheaper alternative to the Sakura Pigma Micron, Staedtler Pigment Liner, and Staedtler Triplus Fineliner that are better known among artists and have much more brand authority.

iBayam seems to be an Amazon-focused brand and it’s not difficult to find the same fineliners sold under different brand names, which takes away from the appeal of the brand (but doesn’t have anything to do with the performance of the fineliners). One example is the MyLifeUNIT Fineliner.

iBayam’s fineliners have no clip, but the end of the cap has a pinched shape that acts as a roll-stop.

These fineliners use water-based ink for smooth flow, but they are not water-resistant like the Sakura Pigma, so their aren’t generally as versatile for artistic purposes.

The pens are 15.7 cm long and 6 mm in diameter.

These fineliners are also sold under the search-engine-friendly name “Journal Planner Pens Colored Pens Fine Point Markers.”
