Diamine Majestic Blue is a deep blue fountain pen ink with heavy sheen.
Majestic Blue is quite close to Diamine Maureen, but has a little less sheen, is a little less pink, and is more widely available. It’s also often compared to the more popular Akkerman #5 Shocking Blue.
This ink is known for its high levels of sheen and attractive coloring.
While an attractive ink, it is not particularly well behaved on the nib and can cause frequent hard starts if you aren’t writing constantly. It looks great on most papers with a heavy, metallic sheen on any fountain pen-friendly paper.
This is a relatively difficult ink to clean, with the color persisting in the pen body and feed longer than most. This is likely a result of the same high levels of dye saturation that give the ink its sheen.
