Diamine Maureen is a blue fountain pen ink that is known for its high levels of sheen.
Diamine Maureen is a blue fountain pen ink made for popular pen and ink reseller Cult Pens. Diamine calls it an “Iridescink” because it has so much sheen that is can appear to be iridescent in certain lights. This is typical of ink with sheen, but it’s taken to the extreme in this ink.
Maureen is a deep blue with a pink sheen. The ink has almost no shading and no other qualities (water resistance etc.) but is acceptable a general writing ink. It’s not business-appropriate as the ink’s sheen is extreme, drying times are slow, and it doesn’t performance well on cheaper paper.
The ink is a dry writer so going up a nib size means better performance and more sheen (though getting sheen out of this ink is not a challenge).
The “brother” ink to Maureen is Diamine’ Robert, which is purple with a heavy green sheen.
