Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-peki

Pilot’s Iroshizuku Kon-peki, which is almost always referred to simply as “Kon-peki” or “konpeki” is a medium blue fountain pen ink. The most accurate color to describe it would be cerulean.

Kon-peki is sold in a 50 ml glass bottle as well as in a gift set made up of multiple 25 ml bottles of different Pilot inks.It is not sold in cartridges

It’s know to be a very good everyday ink and a very good value despite Pilot often describing it as one of their “luxury” inks.

The ink has very little sheen and some undertones of pink can be seen, but only when its splattered or really forced out.

Kon-peki is a bit on the light side for an office or work ink, but it’s still highly legible in addition to be being a reliable writer and a well-behaved blue ink overall. As is the case with most of Pilot’s inks, including the company’s premium ones, the ink is easy and fun to use with no problems. It is a good starter, even on pens that are prone to drying. Not surprisingly the Kon-peki ink tends to run on the wet side, though it’s never been problematic or leaky during our regular usage of the ink (which has been well over a year now).
