Pilot Iroshizuku Tsuyu-kusa is a deep blue color in the Iroshizuku family of fountain pen inks. It’s the closest color in the line to the popular Kon-peki cerulean blue.
The properties of the ink are, overall, excellent. The ink writes well, flows freely, and has a really nice tone to it.
Pilot Iroshizuku Tsuyu-kusa would accurately be described as a royal blue, thanks to the deep tone and bright coloring. It’s darker than Kon-peki and has less green shading to it. It has reasonably quick drying times and is a great ink for everyday use. The blue is bright and fun, but still practical and easy to read. It’s not as dark or staid as a typical office blue, like Waterman 4001, but it’s the closest ink in the Iroshizuku line to a standard blue.
