The Ohto Gripper is a classic, highly collectible double-knock mechanical pencil from the 1980s, but it was also sold as a ballpoint pen.
The pen has an attractive design with a prominent sneaker-style grip and extra long throw, made possible by the extra long top button. The pen is released by pushing the bottom of the clip in, similar to the Pentel Graph Gear 1000, except the release of that pencil is at the top, not the bottom.
The pen was sold alongside a double-knock mechanical pencil, the Ohto Gripper OP-500.
