The Ohto Tashe is a mini fountain pen with a long cap that can be posted to the pen to make it full length when in use.
The Tashe has a steel nib with an iridium point and a metal body, which is made of some lightweight alloy, likely aluminum. The pen is light and quite small when capped, but then with the cap posted it is surprisingly long.
The Tashe uses standard international cartridges so it’s easy to refill, which is a nice advantage over other small Japanese fountain pens, like the Pilot Prera and the Pilot Petit1.
Due to the small size of the pen, it’s barrel can only accomodate one short international cartridge at once, so the ink capacity is quite limited.
