The Rotring Rapid Pro ballpoint pen is essentially a modern version of the Rotring 600 that combines some of the better qualities of the Rotring Tikky with the iconic 600 ballpoint.
The Rapid Pro is known for its good looks, wide knurled grip, and rounded hexagonal design. The pen is often criticized for having a plastic section that joins the metal body and metal grip. This section can break (under extreme circumstances) and hasn’t proven to as reliable as the metal threaded piece found on the Rotring 600 and Rotring 800.
The Rapid Pro is considerably larger than the Rotring 600 and has some changes like rounded corners, which many people love and others are turned off by.
