Sailor Jentle Yamadori is a blue-teal fountain pen ink in the company’s Four Seasons collection. In its previous form it was sold as Jentle Yama-dori but now it’s commonly called “Shikiori Yamadori.”
The ink’s name is sometimes spelled as “Yama-dori” but that spelling has largely shifted to “Yamadori” in the recent years. The ink has seen some changes in its packaging as well — it used to be sold in a round 50 ml bottle, but now it sold in a 20 ml square glass bottle that is very similar to that used by the Pilot Iroshizuku sample sizes.
Yamadori, also known as “Copper Pheasant,” is a dark teal color with more green than blue. It’s a good everyday ink that is highly legible with a smooth flow and easy cleaning.
Yamadori is part of Sailor’s Shikiori (Four Seasons) line, and it part of the Autumn collection of four inks within the larger line of 16 inks in total.
