The SXR-10 is the 1.0 mm version of the popular Uni Jetstream SXR refill. This is the refill found in most Jetstream pens, including the Jetstream Standard and Jetstream RT.
The most popular refills in the series are the SXR-7 and SXR-5, but the refill is also sold in this 1.0 mm, and a 0.38 mm version, the SXR-38.
The SXR refills are modern ballpoint refills, which means they use a lubricated ink that is much lighter feeling and lower viscosity than a standard ballpoint ink.
The SXR refills, also use a “Twin-Ball” design which is unique to Uni pens. This refill technology provides smooth, skip-free writing without blobbing or leakage by having two balls in the refill. The first ball acts to lower the thickness of the ink so that it flows as smoothly as possible and no ink is left in the refills at the end of its life. Then when the ink hits the paper it reverts to its original viscosity and adheres to the paper without smudging or smearing.
