The Platinum Prefounte Fountain Pen is a new pen for December 2019. It’s slightly nicer version of the Platinum Preppy, with hints of inspiration from the Procyon, both of which are some of Unsharpen.com’s best pens. With a retail price of $10 it looks to be a replacement for the Platinum Plaisir, which is not a highly regarded pen (at least not by Unsharpen).
The Platinum ixi:z, sometimes spelled Platinum [ixi:z] is a handsome, high-design pen that was done in collaboration with the Japanese designer ixi:z.
Platinum pens use a proprietary converter and cartridge design. Luckily Platinum makes an excellent converter that sells in a very classy gold or silver design. It is a screw mechanism and is included with higher-end Platinum pens. This is a popular choice for the 3776 Century but will fit almost all Platinum fountain pens.

The Platinum #3776 Century is a popular, entry-level 14K gold nib fountain pen. It’s the primary competitor to the (also popular) Pilot Custom 74 and Sailor 1911.
This is one of the best Platinum fountain pens and the company’s most popular gold nib pen.
The Platinum Procyon is a mid-range, steel nib fountain pen that sells for about $50.
This is one of the top Platinum fountain pens, but does not get much attention because it’s so close in price to the 3776 Century which upgrades to a 14K gold nib.
The Platinum President is the company’s full-sized, flagship fountain pen. It has an Art Deco-style clip and a clean, refined design. This is pen that is one size larger than the Platinum #3776 Century.

The cap is a bit ornate for the otherwise modern styling of the pen, but it’s nice nonetheless.
