The UMR-5S is the 038 mm refill that is sold with the Uni-ball One gel pen. This refill was first released in late February of 2020.
This pigmented refill is designed to offer a darker, more legible color than a standard gel ink. It uses pigmented to create the base of the color where a more standard gel ink uses dye.
The refill retails for 100 JPY or about $1.00.
When included with the Uni-ball One pen the refill is sold in black, red, blue, yellow, orange, green, pink, sky blue, light pink, and blue black. When sold in a stand-alone refill, the UMR-38S simply sold in black, blue, and red.
The 0.38 mm version of this refill is available in 20 colors while this 0.5 mm one has just 10.
